Last year GTM had a promotion tying in with the Hulk movie, giving our readers stats in four different systems for the Jolly Green One.

This year we are going to do the same type of promotion, but are debating on which character to do the tye-in with.

Here are the options:

Doc Octopus (for Spider-Man 2)

or

Van Helsing

1. This isn't particularly legal, is it? I mean, Abe Van Helsing is public domain, but Doc Ock is obviously not.

2. How are you going to stat the movie version of Van Helsing before the movie comes out?

What do you mean "This isn't particularly legal"?

In either case I would be working with the company (Universal or Marvel) to provide the game manufacturers the info and images they need to build the character.

I apologize. I guess I see so much homebrew anymore that I assumed this was being done without offical clearances, and it got my lawyer-sense tingling.

I'm surprised, in fact, that Marvel let you do writeups of the Hulk for different systems...I figured they'd be touchy about their IP, especially with the movie and the new Marvel game coming out.

I vote Van Helsing. Just the little previews I've seen make me want to play Masque of the Red Death.

One of the added benefits of working were I work I guess. Marvel was incredibly easy to work with. They supplied all of the artwork for each RPG company. They also had final approval, and turned around the approval within one day.

Wow. That's the kind of thing the suits usually squash...

Doc Octopus would be interesting to see... but we already know what he's capable.

I'd me more fasinated to see what a official movie version of Helsing turns out like.
