Hurricane Joaquine

As of the posting of this thread, Hurricane Joaquine is a category 4 hurricane with wind speed at 130 mph, gusts at 160 and pressure at 931 Millibars or 27.49 inches. Yes, that is correct, 27.49. That is a very serious storm and it is headed toward the most populous part of the USA. They need prayers. At leas two En worlders are there that I know of.

The projected storm track on Wudnerground as of 11 PM Thursday night has it staying out to sea, never making full landfall. Some of us on the eastern seaboard may get damp, but are not so likely to get hammered any more.

The European model seems to be the most accurate theses days.

Now the 1000 year flood South Carolina got, really sucked. I got, 12 inches of rain (calling it pornstar rain, people got...) over the last three days and some places 20+, feel for Charleston and hope our gamer friends there are well. Ground so wet coffins are popping up!

sounds like a Louisiana problem. That is why the don't bury their dead.

Also, it looks like it might find Europe in a few days. right now it is a cat 1 with a 5 day forecast of being a tropical storm near Great Britain or France.

Update:

I see hurricane is headed toward Portugal. I am not sure of the weather patterns there, but I wonder if this might strengthen the storm . . . . .
