Hybrid Fighter Mark on Basic attacks?

As a Hybrid fighter, can i stil mark with the basic melee attack and basic ranged attacks from page 287 of the Deluxe PHB? (those that are non-class based and anyone can use)

What a can of worms that would open up. By that logic, a Ranger|Rogue would be able to get Sneak Attack and Quarry on the same round using a basic attack.

I'd say no, but maybe in your case, depending on the other class, an exception could be made.

No you do not get to mark with a Basic Attack with the Hybrid Fighters Mark ability.

Not unless you get Heavy Blade Opportunity or something similar

Hybrid fighters can only use Combat Challenge to mark with fighter attack powers. Basic attacks are not fighter powers, so you cannot use CC to mark with them.

Thx for the help folks, custserv agrees on that one, and goes out of their way to point out that if a basic attack is made as a part of a fighter power, it does mark the enemy.
