Hybrids: Mail Order Monsters [M.O.M.], ElfQuest, and Battletech Clan Totems

Of course you should listen to dragons more often, we are wise and highly intelligent creatures after all. :D

Just add the spikes, and mention that creatures grappling the Nova Cat gets stung by spikes for 2d4 piercing damage and must make a fort save or become poisoned. You could even let it happen to anyone hitting it with a weapon without reach. What the poison does I do not know. But it should at most increase its CR by 1.

Nova Cat
The Dagda feline whose mane stands on end (like a sudden nova) whenever it is alarmed was the inspiration for this Clan name. Its mane is tipped with barbs containing a substance poisonous to most creatures. The nova cat is admired for its alert response to danger.

The old slivers (tempest + stronghold) are all done, and I will start converting the 15 new ones tomorrow... Also I will be posting more slivers tonight (winged and Armor)... :D

zzzt!

I was just thinking *ouch!* ... that some of these (and others on this board) would make great Figurines of Wonderous Power

[edit: idea pt 2 ... esp the Jade Falcon *don't know where I get this Maltese Falcon image from :-P*]

That is an idea, although I doubt the mad coil would be balanced for one such item, if the item in question wasn't a peice of epic treasure of course... :D

well I don't the madcoil would make a good figurine,

here's my rough draft for summoning the totems ...

 Summon Totem [Genetic –All]
You can summon your clans totems to aid you.
prereq: 15+ cha
benefit: You have the ability to summon your clan totem, as a full round action, up to your cha mod times per day. These creatures last up to 1 min per level and be your totem. Your level must be equal to the summoned creatures total CR +2. A Level 6 BloodSporit Trueborn Sohei could summon 4 axiomatic troopers, 8 Axiomatic warriors, or 2 axiomatic sergeants. Treat fractional CR creatures as CR 0 for a 2nd level character (they can summon one CR <1 creature),otherwise use them as ½’s.
special: SeaFox/Diamond Shark must choose one or the other totem.

Creatures and Totems:
 Hell’s Horses [fiendish heavy warhorse, always Neutral] (CR 2),
 Ghost Bear [polar bear] (CR 4), (MM p194, 68hp)
 Wolf [dire wolf] (CR 3), (MM pp57-9, 45hp)
 Mongoose [dire weasel] (CR 2), (MM pp56-8, 16hp)
 Wolverine [fiendish wolverine, always neutral] (CR 2),
 Goliath Scorpion [psionic medium monstrous scorpion] (CR 2),
 Smoke Jaguar [dire-template leopard] (CR 4),
 Nova Cat [poinsonous lion] (CR 5),
 Jade Falcon [axiomatic, dire-template hawk] (CR 3),
 Widow Maker [fiendish large monstrous spider, always neutral] (CR 3),
 Snow Raven [elemental (cold), dire-template raven] (CR 2),
 Fire Mandrill [anarchic ape, always chaotic neutral] (CR 3),
 Ice Hellion [Half-White Dragon/weasel] (CR 2),
 Coyote [celestial dog, always neutral] (CR 1/3),
 Sea Fox [elemental (water) fox from MotP & Dragon Magazine] (CR ¼),
 Diamond Shark [celestial medium shark, always neutral] (CR 1),
 Burrock [Thoqqua] (CR 2), (MM pp 173-4, 19hp)
 Steel Viper [axiomatic medium viper] (CR 1),
 Star Adder [fiendish giant constrictor] (CR 7),
 Cloud Cobra [elemental (air) medium viper] (CR 1),
 Blood Spirit [Axiomatic Blood Spirit Warrior, Trooper, or Sergeant w/MW armors & weapons] (CR ½, 1, 2)
