I spent several hours cleaning up the incredibly useful hyperlinked SRD compiled by The Raven and stephenh, and converting it to iSilo format. I'm making it available to all who'd like a copy.
For those who aren't aware, iSilo is an application for PDAs that has many useful features, including the ability to download webpages for off-site reading (rather like AvantGo, but more efficient). It maintains images, tables, and hyperlinks, if set to do so, and creates a document about 20 percent smaller than an equivalent DOC format document. It is, however, a commercial application, so the iSilo SRD will be useless to anyone who doesn't have or want to get iSilo.
The iSilo SRD is about a 3.3 MB .pdb, so make sure that you have the memory available for it on your Palm OS device. It can be accessed from memory cards, but performance is definitely slowed in my experience.
The changes I made to the Raven/stephenh SRD are primarily cosmetic and designed for viewing on a small, lo-res screen. (For instance, I removed the banner from the top-center of nearly every page.) I did fix typos and formatting problems, but only where I happened to notice them as I was converting ... there was no systematic effort to do so.
With practice, looking up game info in the iSilo SRD, which maintains the excellent hyperlinked indices created by Raven/stephenh, is at least as fast as looking it up in the books. With smart use of bookmarks (supported by iSilo), it's much faster. For example, if you constantly find yourself looking up the rules for grappling, bookmark the page and you can get there almost instantly.
I should note that I attempted to email Raven and stephenh about making this available to folks, but never received a reply. I don't see any further legal or ethical impediment to sharing it.
I should also note that I have no affiliation with iSilo. I find the application almost unbelievably useful, but am not a shill for the company. They don't even know I exist, except for taking my money for the software registration.
If you have any questions about the iSilo SRD, or if you'd like a copy, drop email to:
