Don't tell me to stick with 3.5 and then try and push me towards Conan or True 20. That's bait and switch.
If they had titled it, "OGL; the legacy of gaming from 3.5 to now" then I could see it.
And the WFRP is pure hyperbole but at the same time, not that much. I've seen a lot of OGL books. Some of them would be harder to translete over than Warhammer FRPG.
Uhm...ok, so you ignored the possibile answer I gave you and instead decided to rant... are you really looking for how this might be an honest attempt at supporting 3.5 or have you already pre-judged and just want to hate on it?
I posted a possible answer which addresses everything you seem to have a problem with... by them publishing full 3.5 stats in their products, is this wrong simply because it's a Conan or True20 book...especially if they do the mechanical conversions for you? How is this any different from using an eberron sourcebook or adventure in Forgotten Realms...if the mechanics are done for you it becomes a simple flavor issue.
I mean didn't people buy the Freeport systemless book to use with 3.5... and then GR published a separate book with the rules for different systems...including 3.5? Also didn't the Blue Rose game come with conversion notes for 3.5 as well? And if I want a sword & sorcery adventure... as long as it has 3.5 stats and a page of conversion notes, how is the fact that it's in a Conan book make it an act of not promoting 3.5 or baiting and switching?
I honestly think you're talking with nothing to back it up, I mean do you have any details to support that they are not and will not provide 3.5 support and are instead only mentioning it to draw people in to their individual game systems... because if they do provide support it isn't a bait and switch.
