Why, oh why, has nobody yet quoted the franchise which revolutionized the ridiculous villain lines -- the James Bond movies?

as much as I like Goldfinger's retort to Bond...

"Do you expect me to talk?"

"No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die!"

My favourite actually comes from a more recent film Tomorrow Never Dies-- in Jonathan Prcye's surprisingly strong turn as a a completely over-the-top media baron.

"The distance between genius and insanity is measured only by success"

He also had a habit of saying "Delicious" when hearing about people getted offed etc...also an excellent evil dude line.

Ohh no, you will find it is you who are mistaken... about a great many things!

Now witness the firepower of this fully armed and operational battle station. Fire at will commander!

Wipe them out. All of them.

I knew it! I'm surrounded by a$$holes!
When did Palpatine say that last one? :p

Well, at least two people including the OP have mentioned that one.

More fun

The "Now gods, stand up for bastards" is from Edmund in King Lear.

More evilness
Darwin: History, Tradition, Culture - are not concepts, these are trophies I keep in my den as paperweights!

Darwin: I'll torture you so slowly you'll think it's a career. I'll kill your friends, your family, and the witch you took to the prom.

Darwin: What can I tell you - I'm the villan!

George: Rome - I had my first bare-handed strangulation here. Communist politian. God, I miss Communism! The Red Threat? People were scared, the agency had respect, and I got laid every night.

George: We blow up space shuttles for breakfast. You and your friend Tommy would be no more than a late-afternoon Triscuit.

-All from Hudson Hawk

* "I'm too cowardly to die !" What says the arch-villain when his plan goes wrong.
* "what does not kill you let you alive"; Same villain after a narrow escape.
* "Well, you are heroes, noble, brave, honest, and I am... well, just say we are complementary, and I'm sure we will do a great work together. "

"What is light without dark?"

"Mortal world turned to ice... Here be goblin paradise!"

"I'm a monster. What I do is evil. I have no illusions about it, but it must be done."

Bond Villains Arise!

A listing of Villainous quotes from the 20 Bond films

Goldfinger: Choose your next witticism carefully Mr. Bond, it may be your last.

Mr. Wint: The scorpion.
Mr. Kidd: One of nature's finest killers, Mr. Wint.
Mr. Wint: One is never too old to learn from a master, Mr. Kidd.

Blofeld: The satellite is now over... Kansas. Well, if we blow up
Kansas the world may not hear about it for years.

Dr. No: The Americans are fools. I offered my services, they
refused. So did the East. Now they can both pay for their mistake.

Blofeld: "Let his death be a particularly unpleasant and humiliating one."

Blofeld: "Twelve seconds. One day we must invent a faster-working venom."

Scaramanga: You see Mr. Bond, like every great artist I want to create an indisputable
masterpiece once in my lifetime. The death of 007 mano en mano, face to face, will be mine.
Bond: You mean stuffed and displayed over your rocky mantelpiece?
Scaramanga: That's an amusing idea but I was thinking in terms of history.

Hugo Drax: James Bond. You appear with the tedious inevitability of an unloved season.

Khan: "You seem to have this nasty habit of surviving."

Whitaker: "That's too bad, Bond. You could've been a live rich man, instead of a poor
dead one."

Trevelyan: "Oh, please, James, put it away. It's insulting to think I haven't anticipated your every move."

Trevelyan: "Trust? What a quaint idea..."

Colonel Moon: That'll teach you to lecture me. Get me another anger management therapist!

paraphrasing as I never wish to see this movie ever again
"The day I killed your father was your most defining moment. It drove you your entire life to this moment. For me, it was Tuesday."

That poor, underrated flick. Le sigh!

Another great one from the same source: "You refuse to accept my godhood? Fine! Keep your old God! In fact, now might be a good time to pray to Him!"

-The Gneech
