I can't read the old forums!

Hey, I couldn't read anything on the old forums, and I really wanted to check a few things there. But now even if I log in I can't read anything from Game News and Views or Questing For Adventure on the old forums.

Thanks for letting me know, Arkhandus! I had only tried to lock it from new posts, and tried to open the rest up to view I'll work on it some more...

EDIT: It should work now... Read-Only however.

I made it! I have finally registered onto the new forums!

Whew.

Though if I had to jump through so many hoops I wonder how many fringe people will make the effort...

I don't know what hoops he had to go through, but from ENWorld.org, here's the steps someone would have to go through:
Step one: click on The 13 Kingdoms: brings you to enworld.cyberstreet.com/hosted/T13K
Step two: click on the Online Community page cannot be found (used to link you to old forum with step three) now, step 3 takes you:
Step Three: http://www.emiricol.com/ takes you to your campaign site, where you can move to
Step Four: The13Kingdoms.org where you can Register, and then then move to here, as
Step Five: Register Again for EN's Forums and then proceed


More than most would do, I think. If we can get the main link to go to The13Kingdoms.org instead of cyberstreet/hosted, etc. that would be a huge step in getting people here.

That's way too much. That's why the old forums are locked and have, right up at the top, "THE FORUMS HAVE MOVED! Go to www.the13kingdoms.org - the new link is on the front page. CMs, either IM me, email me, or post in the new forums."

So the steps are 1) go to www.the13kingdoms.org, 2) click the link in the bold red text to go to our forums, and finally, 3) register at EN World.

In addition to the above, under the old Petitioners Booth just above the post that says "These forums close on Sept. 1" is a stickied announcement entitled "New Forums On Monday, Sept. 1st", that says:

Hello T13Kers,

We are pleased to announce that we have come to an arrangement with EN World, whereby our forums will be hosted there. There will be some changes, but nothing too major. I need all members to do the following:

Players, DMs and CMs:
You must go to www.enworld.org/forums and register, unless you already have an EN World account. This will give you baseline access to the T13K forums. You will also have to go to the control panel there (the "user cp" button at the top of the page") and then click Usergroups. Join either the T13K Player if you will play, or the T13K DM if you will DM (whether or not you also play).

DMs:
Open a new thread in Game News & Views in our EN World forums, for your campaign.

CMs:
I need the Council Members to simply post your EN World username, so I can add you to the T13K CM group. I also need you to transfer posts from the AREA forums here to the AREA forums there. I went ahead and did the South, but I've got a ton of stuff on my plate right now and don't have time to do them all. DMs can help out with this!!

In addition, at www.the13kingdoms.org under Web Links is a link entitled "The 13 Kingdoms Official Forums".

Basically, short of getting that one link on the entry page of EN World changed (and all the News items I've had posted contain the correct URL), I can't think of any way to get the word out more
