I feel old

Harmon said:
I feel younger at times, older at other times.

Example- getting up from sitting on the floor. My legs and back are so sore and I use to do that all the time.

Example- looking for attention, affection, and respect- I feel like a friggin' child. I suppose I never got any while I was growing up and have never gotten any as an adult.

Your age is up to you and Father Time- he will tell you how old your body is while you tell yourself how old your mind and spirit are

Take care, and peace all :)

Harmon,

If you would count your wife and child you wouldn't feel that way so much of the time.

Considering that I beat a 93% chance of death when I was 24 and a 3 in 10,000 chance of living when I was 34, I'm glad to be 40! Not looking forward to see if my "pattern" continues when I am 44.

Some people just have "wise" or "old" souls. As long as that helps you live your life better whats to care about?

Dude, the kid (aka Bug for the purposes of this and other boards) is the main reason for my feeling so old, she is also the reason why I feel so young so often. :D

A year after I started gaming one of the members of my then and now gaming group had a son, he is now presently a vetern of war, has three children, and is changing careers. That is one of the main factors in me feeling old right now. :)

Cool! Just sometimes people get so wrapped up in whats getting them down they forget whats right next to them or in front of them. Just wanted to give you a "wake up" in case things were getting that way for you. ;)

I am exhausted- thus the feeling old. Four to six hours of sleep a night, spend all day with a six month old, no adult contact most days, trying to keep up with being happy, and have a kind appearance (other people percieve me as brutish, unkind, and a-holic all the time) and that takes more energy then I have most days.

It wears on me, and thus I feel old. Positive has never been a place for me, I am a pessimist, for thinking something is going to work out is always a disappointment, thus even more feeling worn down and tired, which comes out as old age.

Youth is positive, good, enthusastic, and none of that has been me for any length of time.

I hope everyone gets that- being young ("I feel youthful") is about the positive in life, while the "I feel old" is negitive. Find that early in your life and you will be much happier, and thus- feel much younger.

Peace all :)

I am only 18, but I feel like I am 80. I dont know why either, I just feel old, and I often look at people that are older than me as young. Anyone else feel older than they really are? :(
Not when I was 18. ;)

But at soon-to-be 37, mehhhhhh... I'm already grunting when I bend over to pick stuff off the floor. :p
