A guy in my very first gaming group was convinced all smurfs were Chaotic Evil.

I think it had to do with the time his character woke up, and saw his Staff of Fire disappearing into a mouse hole, and heard the little voices singing that song...

The DM had decided the Staff was too powerful, and that was his method of dealing with it

One was the funniest things I ever saw was during speech class in high school. One of the "old hands" was challenged to do an impromptu speech of someone else's choosing. The topic was "Smurfs are Socialist Propaganda".

The creepiest thing was that he was pretty convincing. Then again, I was a Sophomore.
