I finished my story hour. . .

I mean, it is done. . .

Not the latest installment. . .

Not one of the four "books" I broke it up into. . .Well, actually, that too. . . but what I mean to say it done done. Every one of the 103 "regular season" sessions has been written up.

I started writing it in February of 2001, when the game started. The game ended in January of 2006.

I can't believe it is actually done. . .

I started it so long ago it was not uncommon for story hour authors to post in the General Forum when they had updated their thread. I remember when the story hour forum broke off from general (which btw, was before both House Rules and then Rules got broken up into their own forums)

I started it so long ago, (cntxt) was still posting his Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil for the first time - and Wulf was still posting his then as well. No one even knew who Sepulchrave was. . .

Anyway, this is certainly an EN World milestone for me. . . So I thought I'd share.

I started OotFP once, but have to admit I never got caught up. Looks like a very rich world, however.

How about a PDF compilation? If I had it all together, I'd be willing to give it another shot.

I have the first two and half "books" compiled in word docs (see the thread linked to the banner in my sig) - but tell, me what is the advantage of the PDF format?

Both are fine with me, personally. Some find PDFs to be easier to read/work with, and usable on more devices, especially since Word has so many versions on different platforms. I use a free PDF-creator called PDF995 when I archive my SHs. File size for a bare-bones (no graphics) PDF of a 734,000 word document came in at just under 6MB (a tad less than the Word document).

I'll take a look at the Word docs.

Damn, that is an accomplishment. Nice going.

I don't know what format to go with, but you might want to check out Lulu.com if you want it bound. Hardcover or softcover. Though I think you need graphics software and somewhere like Kinko's for the slipcovers.

I took a look at the format StevenAC uses for his PDF compilations of "Welcome to the Halmae" and Sagiro's Story hour and really liked the,, but dag does that seem like a lot of work to set up to look that nice.

Editing the word docs is hard enough! :)
