I Got a New Laptop! - and Killed Character Builder...

First Post
I was using the 4E Character Builder beta fine with my old laptop. I upgraded to a new 15" widescreen laptop and installed Character Builder on it - and I can't use it... There is no way to resize the screen and even at 1280 X 800 resolution I can't see the print button. I reported the issue on the WotC forums, but this really sucks.

So, if you have a widescreen laptop and were planning to get a subscription to DDi so you could use the Character Builder - BEWARE!!

It does seem to have a minimum size. And it does seem to either be 'full screen' or that specific size.

I've got a 1440x900 wide screen and I can see every thing, just fyi.

Reporting the issue is the first step. I imagine that it would be trivial to set the app window size to allow resizing vertically and adding a scroll bar, unless it would cause major problems with the individual screen elements.

The app should fit easily on an x800 display. I resized it manually and the squattest I could make it was around 770 pixels, including the Windows title bar.

An Idea.

Go to your display properties control panel and the Appearance tab, then choose a 'Normal' font size. I just changed mine to Extra Large Size and it messed with the cb screen realestate.

HEY! Thanks! That did it. I set my font to normal size and everything is good now. Sweet - I can print!
