I have $500 of gaming material to purchase... what now?

With a $500 gift certificate, I'm lost. I could binge on miniatures and things that I will end up painting, but I'm not a big mini-fan.

Under these conditions, I have a few "almost definite" purchases, but I'm open to suggestions.

Almost Positive
RttToEE (there is a copy left on shelf, so It's MINE!)
ITCK (same)
Monster Manual 2
Book of Vile Darkness

Probably
Rokugan Campaign Setting
Way of the Samurai
Way of the Shugenja
Magic of Rokugan
Kalamar Campaign Setting
Kalamar Player's Guide
Stronghold Builder's Guidebook

That's 10... and although I have other ideas, I'd rather read some opinions.

Random thoughts:

* Evil: I've been impressed by AEG's Evil (and Dungeons), over the flashy BoVD.

* Adventures: I'd purchase Necromancer's Tomb of Abysthor and Ebon Mirror before Return to the Temple of Elemental Repetitiveness.

* Cities and Taverns: I keep hearing good things about the Freeport series. Necromancer will be putting out its Tavern book in December.

* Miniatures: MK's Sinister figures are very well painted. Haven't seen the Minions yet.

* GM Aids: Chessex will be putting out mats for MK-sized figures. If you don't buy them, there are always counters. I'm finding Citizen Game's Villains and Scoundrels to be useful lazy GM material for NPCs, although it lacks the "how to use an NPC" advice that RPGObject's NPC Essentials PDF contains.

And, of course, there's always using the certificate for your Christmas shopping. High recommendations for SJG's Chez Geek, Star Munchkin, and Munchkin games. For your cheap friends, give them Cheapass Games's Freeloader and Kill Dr. Lucky. Then's there's always a second copy of the PHB. (:

Myself, I can only use so many d20 hardbacks. Back ain't what is used to be, lol.

Fortunes and Winds?

Legend of the Five Rings Player's Guide, and the GM's Guide, and all the 'Way of the x' books, to give you a feel for what Black Omega and I talk about on occasion :-p

Bearer's of Jade and Way of the Shadowlands are two beautiful (in writing, anyway) books on their own...

Does it have to be D20 stuff? As much as I love d20, there are some products out for other games that I'd find really cool, but I'd probably never buy them because I don't have enough spare money. Like the core rulebooks for at least 5 new game systems I've never played, to expand my gaming knowledge.

If you don't want minis, you could always buy a complete set of Fiery Dragon Press's counter series. Counter Collections I & II, and the various Counter Packs. Good stuff, and I've got a pair of prestige classes in the booklet that accompanies Counter Collection II. :)

D20 Modern is very good. You can really easily use it for normal fantasy adventures, but it's cool in that it does more to encourage plot-based stories instead of combat-based stories.

Definately pick up CoC d20 (If you want an insta premade and lovely campaign to go with it. See if they have "Nocturnum" really cool campaign with an awsome plot and alot of depth IMHO)

The splatbooks might be worth picking up.
Oathbound is a must, it rocks.
The whole FR collection is worth it in my opinion:
FRCS
MoF (Magic)
Monsters of Fearun
Lords of Darkness
Silver Marshes
City of the Spider Queen

It's all good and hasn't ever disappointed me.
