I Have No Idea If It's Any Good Yet

But The Shattered Gates of Slaughtergarde is easily the best title for a Wizards' product I've seen in years.

I don't object to the title, but I keep thinking of it as "The Shattered Gates of Gatorade".

SOunds like an interesting adventure..

Would it fit neatly into Eberron, or is the divine/abyss aspect too intwined in the adventure?

You'll have to make a few changes. There's a very short sidebar that appears to be place in as an afterthought.

I'm currently running Scourge of the Howling Horde for one of my groups and I'm running Slaughtergarde for them afterwards.

I'm afraid this group might not like it though. I'm running Savage Tide as a high action old school crawl as a marathon 10 player session. Half of that crew is in this Horde/Slaughtergarde campaign but a few of the players want a game with a lot of political intrigue and backstory. As someone else said this module is very thin on a plotilne. It feels a lot more like an expanded "Fantastic Location" than a mini-campaign.

But yeah, I still would have bought it based on the name alone. ;)

If you're talking about checking out Rhapsody, or as they're now known, Rhapsody of Fire, you need to be aware of a few things:

They're incredible musicians. Luca Turulli may be the best guitarist in metal, and that's saying a lot.

You will crack up over their lyrics. A lot. Especially on their earlier stuff. They're Italian, but they perform in English, and some of their pronunciation is...interesting. F'rinstance, they pronounce "Emerald Sword" "Eem-er-ahld sWARd." And their early narrative bits were laughable. But they've gotten Christopher Lee to do stuff on their last few albums, which lends a certain gravitas to the proceedings. Nonetheless, they are kind of dorky. No, make that a LOT dorky. They've done over a half-dozen albums telling the epic tale of one fantasy world and even have a map of it up on their website.

For a quick introduction, I recommend the following sites:

Rhapsody of Fire's Myspace Page

Their official website

Full-length video for "Unholy Warcry" (With lots of Christopher Lee. Also, keyboards in the woods!)

"Unholier Warcry", a parody of the above, because if you can't laugh at metal once in a while, you're taking life way too serious.

Thanks!
