I was at a Hops down here and heard gamespeak and was with my "group" or at least a writer of mine...introduced myself and gave them my e-mail card abd sent them some free product. They did not know about d20 on;y about 3.0 WotC stuff, thought I would introduce them to it. It was fun!!!!

Were you wearing pants? You try to recruit people when you aren't wearing pants, and it's only going to end in tears.

I know what you mean, I was in a rush last night and my wife and I had to stop in the store. There was a guy in one of the 3e shirts with our favorite iconic fighter on the front. Wouldn't you know the one time I go into the store in a rush, I didn't have time to do any recruiting or land myself into a new game. Darn it, Darn it to heck! (Shakes Fist At Sky) Anyway is it just me or does DnD seem to be creeping into the mainstream more and more each year?

On Monday night I was at a local's borders meeting with some of my gaming group to talk about a new Forgotten Realms game my roommmate is going to DM (her first) A guy sitting at a another table overheards us talking and game over and asked if we had room for another player. We don't but I put him in contact with another group I know. As we were talking it turned out that he had played in a game several months ago with my son.

I have had several good conversations with gamers I have meet at bookstores over the years.

I've been known to sit unashamedly in a bar with the newest issue of Dragon propped up in front of me reading. It is a good way to let your gamer flag fly. :)
