Give Ninja regular Sneak Attack instead of Sudden Strike, and remove some minor ability.

Or, I'll replace Blindfight with another feat, and you modify the adventures so we encounter invisible opponents occasionally rather than most of the time. That doesn't help with Uncanny Dodge though.

Geoff.

No, no, I'm not complaining about your Blind-Fight. Think of this as a continuation of my in-game "curses! My cunning plan has been foiled by you so-called heroes!" scenery-chewing. ;)

Might still introduce the new Improved Feint, though....

I really want to play a Ninja one of these days, but everytime I start to build one, I can't help but think I could be doing the same thing (and more effectively) with a Swordsage...

My only complaint w/ the Ninja is their ki power. It would run out WAY to often for me. It's similiar to why I don't like playing low level Wizards. Once you cast your 2 spells for the day, you are stuck firing a crossbow (with a really bad BAB) the rest of the day.

Ninja needs to be "fixed" in one of two ways...
1) Replace Sudden Strike with Sneak Attack
or
2) Make their ki uses "refresh" during every encounter (similiar to martial adept maneuvers and the Factotum).

As of right now, I'd much rather play a Swordsage over a Ninja...

Swordsages are a bit complicated for NPC use, though. Especially when you have a half-dozen of them.

Also, any word on the inconsistency between CAdv and MM4? One says you only get ki powers without armour, the other has ninjae wearing leather armour.

Anybody knows the reason why they couldn't give them the normal Sneak Attack instead of Sudden Strike?

Ninja class needed a tone-down during design or would be too good?
Danger of Ninja/Rogue multiclassed being overpowered because of stacking?
Need to have a class with a new ability rather than re-use an existing one, just to say it's "new"?
