I just saw Attack of the Clones... [not a spoiler]

There has been some doubt that Attack of the Clones could best Spiderman's box office performance.

I can say that I no longer have any such doubts about that particular subject.

There is not a single negative comment I can make about that movie. The only reason that I will not say anything more that is positive about this movie is that I wish to sleep tonight. And I am unsure how much text I am allowed to enter in a post before the board would reject it.

I will be watching it again in about 9 hours, because I had purchased Noon ticket before my local Silver City Theater decided to have a midnight screening. I am very happy to have that extra ticket now.

If you consider your self a human being and agree that bathing once every 24 hours is a good idea, then you cannot in good conciousness not watch this movie.

I disagree ...

I found a lot of fault in the movie. The directing is poor, the acting stilted, the editing seems odd at times.

It didn't matter.

The last half hour is worth the $9.

I will not spoil.

Just got back, too jazzed to sleep. Can't deny the acting is poor almost without exception, but as joshua said- the last half hour is worth the $9.

Now that the fans' standards are lowered (or at least repositioned) after Ep I, I think we'll hear far less complaining. People now know what to BEGIN to expect. Moreover, we'll hear far less complaining because this film is much better. I had a good crowd... yelling, whooping, cheering, laughing together. We all roared when the Matrix trailer came on. When the 20th Century Fox logo came on, we roared like morons. We silenced for the "A long time ago...", then exploded when the logo blasted us back to where we wanted to be.

George had us slogging through some long-winded political poop, and the love story drew more groans than even Jar Jar's screen time. However, I was entertained beyond what I expect of movies these days. I was grinning most of the time... and when (you'll know it when you see it) happens during the last 20 minutes, I shrieked and clapped with CHILDLIKE GLEE, along with the audience. You will too, I swear it. Say what you will about Senior Lucas and his toy-hawking habits, but I loved it. I just loved it.

Yeah, there's something about it that's hard to deny. I mean, there's more than a few moments where you'll cringe, but when it's good, it's unbelievable. Visually, it's really, really, impressive.

Empire still kicks its a$$ though.:)

No Spoilers Here. It was a fine movie. It improved on Phantom Menace but still is not as good as any of the orginal three. For the most part I am happy. I just hope they spend some of the budget on some real actors for the third movie. Not everyone was bad, but some of them are obviously there for thier looks.

Posting on behalf of RangerWickett, who doesn't feel like logging on:

I have never been so glad to be proven wrong. I thought the movie would suck, and indeed, some of the romance scenes were pretty bland, but everything not involving Amidala and Ani, and a large deal of the stuff that did involve them, was incredible.

I am _so_ going to be playing a Halfling Fighter/Sorcerer some day! Whoo hoo!
