I am working on a setting for my Nexus system based in the Fusion Age. Basically it is hard scifi, pregravitic age setting. Ships have no inertial compensators or artificial gravity. They are exploring a series of Wormholes that are connecting alot of different star systems that seem to have been created by some ancient culture.
People have moved out into a bunch of different planets and systems. It is easy to move from system to system through these wormholes. I was partially thinking in terms of Aliens and Wing Commander: Privateer when I made this.
There are no "Alien Races" like Klingons and such. The only space faring race so far is humans. However people have found something on a planet and it is slowly taking over human territories. I was thinking of something like a Goauld symbiote that had control over a bunch of animals before but now has a much smarter host to use. I was going to have them carry lots of strange animals around as other hosts for the horror factor. Maybe they find more strange creatures now that they have taken over some starships.
Anyway I was thinking about Mech and power armor warfare verses large alien animals sort of like the Avatar movie. However instead of just humans with mechs you have these strange creatures fighting humans and taking over their dead bodies.
Anyway I need a name for this setting
