Update!
It appears I've got two interviews next week with the same company at different offices. One will be in Norfolk, VA on Wednesday (fly out tuesday night) for a Systems Engineer position, other has yet to be determined, but will hopefully not conflict. Other interview will be in Portsmouth, RI for a Technical Writer position. Not exactly engineering, but close enough at this point. I have an old friend that works at the company (different office) who I used as a reference. And it's funny, because I applied just two weeks ago, and he had told me a few days ago they usually take months to get back.
Not too optimistic about my chances, but I'll try to read up on interview books for next week. Tonight I'm going to the IEEE Providence section's dinner and presentation by an employee at KVH.
Oh, still no word about the census temp job. I called, and all they said was that they were making call backs this month. I should be a cinch for a job, considering my test score and lack of stuff like a criminal record...
