Fiery Dragon Press has a 13-14th-level adventure coming out in February, called "Beyond All Reason" by Todd Secord. It's a very good adventure, with a very epic feel. Two thumbs up.

If you use the Epic Quests free download for Demons and Devils from Necromancer Games, any of the adventures would be suitable, particularly Ras Evil Grin. They are very difficult.

Of course, the best of all time would be to run the Original (not the Return to) Tomb of Horrors. Get a 3E conversion from EN World.

If you update Heart of Nightfang Spire to 3.5, it is very deadly and very dark. A very decent WotC early 3.0 module.

I'd be curious to know what Dr. Midnight ultimately chose. I will point out that Monte Cook wrote the Harrowing as a sequel of sorts from RttToEE. At least, I think he ran them with his group back-to-back.
