I’m looking for someone to build me a database, and I’m willing to pay. I’ve been running a strange series of D&D games for about a year now, in game for each turn we record exactly what each player does and the results, a typical entry (written up- we have a code) would look like this, ignore the stuff in square brackets [] that’s just me explaining-
Dirty [Player name]- Move. Tide of Iron Combat Advantage OB2 [Orc Berserker #2]; Hit 15 damage (16 HP bloodied) & Marked. Action Point. Daily Brute Strike Combat Advantage OB2; Hit 29 damage- DEAD. 2nd Wind (67 HP).
We keep the data for every adventure we play, every player, at every level, for every encounter, every round, and every combatant- even the monsters. We even record the time it takes for each round to play out. We keep data about the XP reward for the encounters, the encounter level (and in relation to the PC level), I can obviously provide examples of all of this.
At present I’ve been keeping the data on spreadsheets, so for each fight I can calculate things like-
Party/PC/Monster overall connection rate (attacks vs hits).
Party/PC/Monster overall damage done- (overall, averages etc.)
Over multiple encounters we can see how one PCs Tide of Iron attack compares to... etc.
How players connections at level 1 compared to at level 3, for individual attacks, or overall etc.
We even record Action Points, Daily Powers used, Crits, Healing Surges, PCs bloodied, PCs reduced to 0 HP or below etc.
I have tables that combine the data from all of the PCs (multiple adventuring parties) at Level 1, 2 etc.
That calculate the average time taken per encounter, the average level of each encounter for PCs at level X and the average HP of monsters they had to fight.
Lots of data.
That I think would be best handled in a database, which is where you come in-
I think in all honesty I’m talking about two databases the first about PCs, the second regarding encounter data.
Anybody have any suggestions, as I say- happy to negotiate a price/terms etc. I’m not a computer guy but I can do all the data entry- I just need someone to build it for me, and in a program/application I can access on my PC.
