Which Ptolemy are you thinking of? The astronomer? Alexander the Great's general and one of his heirs? Any of the Ptolemaic dynasty who ruled Egypt?

Condescension? Me? I am honestly surprised that someone else on these boards knows who Ptolemy is. And I'm speaking of the astronomer.

You're understimating people. Roleplayers have a habit of picking up esoteric knowledge, and there are some seriously knowledgable guys here.

In an email I recently made I referred to "making offerings to Ananke" as a way to wish someone good luck. The reference was totally lost on her. It would have passed with a nod at my gaming table.
