Why thank you *bows*. I don't actually set out to read that fellow's blog, I just subscribe to Wired News' RSS feed, which Wired News' bloggers posts are included. I'm Lovecraft fan and seeing a post on him just attracted my eyes.

Speaking of Lovecraft films, I got the Lovecraft Historical Society's Call of Cthulhu for my birthday recently. Awesome, awesome, awesome. If any one reading this knows of a Lovecraft fan, it's the perfect gift. :)

Seconded. What a fantastic DVD. :)

They don't make decent Lovecraft movies because the sort of cop-outs he commonly employed - "And then he saw what no man was meant to see." - don't just suck, but are rather hard to implement in a visual medium. :)

And it's kind of hard to work the words gibbous, eldritch and batrachian into the script, I'd imagine.

Gibbous? That just means bulging. Batracian means "frog-like."

And, according to Terry Pratchett, some people think eldritch means "oblong."

I know what they mean, thank you. :)
