So, is anybody shopping for presents yet?

I bought somethign last week, and all but purchased a few items for Christmas. I'll probably get more shopping done this week, and then wait for some of the rest.

I'm pretty sure the ads here started the day after Halloween. One of the disadvantages of not having Thanksgiving in between, I guess.

Normally, I refuse to do anything Christmassy before the start of December, then get everything either online or in the first weekend in December. However, this year has proven awkward - my band are playing both of the first two Saturdays in December, so I'm starting early.

Last Saturday on the way to gaming I listen to 40 minutes of straight Christmas music on opne radio station

Gah! Christmas music during the first week of November! Bah humbug!

Why can't they wait until Thanksgiving?

I love Christmas. I hate the marketing that goes with it.

This year I went into the grocery store down the street two days before Halloween to get some pumpkin carving supplies and various Halloween decorations. Much to my surprise the shelves that held the Halloween stuff a few days before had been cleared off and the staff was stocking them with Christmas items.

I did find the Halloween stuff tossed into a few bins and marked for closeout.

I agree with some of the other posters, Christmas stuff shouldn't go up until Thanksgiving.
