D&D 3E/3.5 I seek a 3.0/3.5 core Engineer class!

I've tried the links on this page (within threads) and the Netbook of classes and was able to find an archaelogist, spelunker, and cartographer but sadly, no engineer.

The closest thing was Netbook of Classes "Grand-Maker", but apparently they go around and make magic items which is too silly for me. You see, they have no spellcasting abilites yet somehow manage to craft magic crap. Sure!

Have you tried Sorcery & Steam, Iron Kingdom or WarCraft? They all have a steampunk element and engineering skills in them.

I combined the Sorcery & Steam rules with d20 Modern rules to create a Technologist class. Click on the red link in my signature and open Chapter 3 for the class, and Chapter 6 for the invention rules.

Try Dave1001's completely non-magical Inventor core class from the WotC boards. Takes a while to read, though... lots of detail by dave.
THANK YOU!!! Dave's class is EXACTLY what I've been looking for! The only sightly problematic thing would be the more than hundred examples of sample inventions. Erm, if someone else has thought of these, it's not very possible for my character to have "invented" them, is it? But that's all right, we can always pretend, can't we? Whoever Dave 1001 is, he's really outdone himself. MARVELOUS!
