You would see the walking monstrosity quite a distance away.

Current unmanned vehicles can "service" targets miles away -- they tend to be armed with missiles. Your walking monstrosity is quite a large target.

Big badda boom.

Round 1: small unmanned platform. Or a guy with an RPG and a bush.

Meh. If you see the video of that thing, it's not picking up its feet; it's rolling on wheels, and looks pretty wobbly. When, it hits the curb, that'll be the end of it. Silly...
