My church is currently between buildings (actually, we're letting some other churches use ours. No, I don't understand either :)). Anyhow, we're currently meeting in an elementary school building. Me and my brother arrive early to brew up the coffee for everybody. We do this in a room where art classes are held. I was walking around the room, looking at the artwork (they had some Escher posters and other cool stuff). Anyhow, what do I find but several representations of the Great Cthulhu! Bizarre, green-tinted landscapes writhed 'neath the tentacled monstrosity's dire form. Red eyes peeped from under a mass of seething tentacles! Obviously, He is tossing in His sleep again...stirring the dreams of the next generation of troubled artists...

Could be with the release of the Call of cthulhu dark corners of the earth xbox game, the kids have been web searching for "cthulhu".

Cthulhu has recently appeared in
Grim Adventures of billy and mandy [opening credits & the silly "prank call of cthulhu" episode.

New TMNT had a dragonish/ scorpionish cthulhu critter in one episode.

Cthulhu's a big pimpin' superstar these days. Here's a recent scent of him by little Billy Higglesworth (age 8):

Cthulhu was on Justice League also I think. If not it was an obvious rip-off.
Yes - that was the one where Solomon Grundy punched Cthulhu's brain to death. From inside his skull.

No, it didn't make any sense to me, either.
