Pathfinder 2E I think I am giving up on PF2ER

Yeap, it’s probably not too bad but it’s hard for me to remember back to 2019 when I last ran F2F anything. Seems impossible now.
Yeah its kind of interesting-- there's a lot of games that are much 'simpler' to run face to face, particularly with that emerging as such a huge value in the indie scene over the last 10-20 years or so, and the OSR, but PF2e is easier to run f2f than 3.5/4e/pf1e were, and I have first hand experience running 4e analog. It compares pretty well with 5e, provided the 5e party has some levels.

You need to do what you need to do. I sometimes found PF2e overly busy, but that was more an issue of the whole F20 ecosystem's tendency toward excessive exception based design than anything about complexity, per se.

VTT integration has been a lifesaver for a bunch of games I like, particularly games that run with dice pools. I'm a guy who computes quickly, so it never bothered me, but it definitely helped many in my group.

Its one of those things you also come to appreciate as you get older, even when you've used detailed systems all your life. I didn't use macros in Maptool until recently, but I suspect I'd be slow about going back.

...Honestly as I have only played it with VTT I do not know how I would react to playing it without unless I had a Jason Buhlman tier DM. But it is so good with VTT.
