I vote SHARK should publish

Tokyogamer lives!!

I, the poster formerly known as TOKYOGAMER on this board, do think that SHARK should definitely publish some stuff!!

I have the privilege to call SHARK a friend and I can tell you that his fantastic and detailed world is just absolutely fascinating. :)

Come, SHARK! Regale us with further tales of Vallorea!

Onward march the glorious legions of the holy Vallorean Empire as they strike like a lance of righteousness into the dark heart of of foul Galleran, realm of the vampire Lord Mallenar!

SHARK!

Greetings!

I just recently got back online. In the interim, I've moved, and crashed my HD and lost all contact info. Lets get back in touch!

I didn't know that you *liked* cheescake, Kenjib. I thought you were against it? Cool though. Cheesecake, in moderation, is good for you!:)

Hehe - it's all about context. I absolutely love the old artwork from the old pulp mags of the 20's and 30's, for example. They are some of my favorite illustrations anywhere. However I find that the Avalanche covers, for example, just don't mesh with the content of the books at all and actually lower my opinion of the product to the point where I don't want to even bother looking inside. There's a lot of product out there and not enough time to evaluate it all, right?

i can't believe that i missed the shark posts, thank you for bringing them to the attention of us ignorant people. shark hobgoblin is without a doubt the best writeup on hobgoblins of any kind that i have ever read. if i saw a book in my local store that said SHARK: MONSTERS i would buy it without even thumbing through it, and i'm a cheap bastard. i wouldn't even look at the art.

i now feel extremely inadequate and do not know if i will be able to even try worldbuilding anymore. but that's ok, i'll just rip off shark! wooo

SHARK, I believe it would be a privilege to meet you in person at a con or otherwise. Unfortunately, I live here in Iowa. But right now I'm working on a business that will hopefully take off real soon. I'm scraping money together that so I can go to N. Carolina for a seminar at the end of the month. I can't wait! When this business takes off, hopefully I'll be able to afford to go anywhere!

Some of my advice to you is that if you truely are going to publish your stuff is to start up your own company. That way your materials will be yours and yours alone so long as you run the company. Its becoming easier to publish materials w/o big house names. But before you do so, become financially literate. Learn how to run a business. You don't even have to go to school for that. You can read books about it (esp. "Rich Dad Poor Dad" series by Robert Kiyosaki).

Seek professional advice from accountants, lawyers, and especially others who run part-time businesses in the gaming industry.

In anycase you have my best wishes!

Ulrick

Greetings!

Hey Jollyninja! I'm happy that you like them! Thanks!

Ulrick: hey there!:) It would be great to get together in person! That would be so cool, you know? We've been here together for a long time, huh?:) IOWA? Where are you at Ulrick? What's it like there?

I appreciate the legal heads up, too. That's quite thoughtful Ulrick. I raise my Bass in salute to you! Fine cigars are really good, too!:)

Semper Fidelis,

SHARK

this is kind of reminding of that "bill bratsky"(sp) sketch on saturday night live. whenever alec baldwin is on, they do this sketch where 3 travelling salesmen reminisce about this legendary salesman, bill bratsky. they invariably end up telling very tall tales about him. i can just see it....3 nerds gathering around a bar....

" i heard that SHARK once ran an entire session while hooked up to a dialysis machine!"

"oh yeah, i heard he basically wrote up his entire campaign setting as a sourcebook, but was given $1 million by hasbro NOT to publish it!"

"ahhh, that's nothing. i heard that SHARK allows sick children to rub his dice because they have the power to heal..."

:)

The Witch Hunter was SHARK's? I think I have it on my HD somewhere...
The Orc, Hobgoblin, etc, threads are great. I'd never have the time or imagination to come up with all of this stuff, and I have nothing but free time.

In other news... Bill Brasky Quotes
Tales of Bill Brasky
Bill Brasky on Wall Street

"They say SHARK once started a thread that got more views than the rest of the internet combined!"
"WOTC bought TSR because he demanded they do just that!"
"SHARK is not actually a fish... I'm drunk."

My favorite SHARK posts deal with his writings on Paladins and Templars and the various holy warrior knights of his campaigns. SHARK'S heroic prose and vivid descriptions are not only informative, but are also greatly inspiring for the imaginaton! They make me want to take up a holy sword and smite down evil back to the dark abyss it spawned from! Foul vampire lords, beware! :)

Is there any chance we can see a "SHARK Paladin" post any time soon?
