I voted today.
It's something I don't do often enough.
I usually only vote on teh big ones, like the Presidetnial & Senetorial Elections.
But, now living in a small town of 8,000 People, the power of my vote becomes pretty enourmous.
In the last Presidental Election, my vote was one of Millions.
Today, it will be one of thousands.
Many people don't vote in the little, local elections, even though that is where their vote can make the biggest difference.
The ballot?
Only one item: Whether to allow the City to Annex Land so a Super Wal-Mart can go in.
This isn't a political thread.
This isn't about Wal Mart's Alignment.
It's about taking a role in your local Governent.
This is to remind people about one of the ways they can shape the local environment around them.
No politics, just a statement of Fact.
I had the option to vote. About a single local issue. I decided to exercise that option.
