D&D General I want a video game done in the Dalelands

[Shades of Eternity]

Essentially, I want a Baldur's Gate-type game to be done there.

It was the original heartland of the realms, key connection to the underdark and it's close to the Moonsea, Cormyr and Sembia

And if it happens to allow Saurials or Stonelander Minotaurs as PCs...so be it.

So how would you frame such a game?

Aside from it already having been done (I think a few of the other Gold Box games are set there aside from the abominable Hillsfar) it’s as generic as it’s possible to get. Practically anywhere else would be a more interesting setting for a computer game.

I want a game that happened in the dalelands since the year 2000

There are a couple of NWN/NWN2 modules that are set in the vicinity of the Moonsea. They were after 2000. And if you own the core game you can always make your own.

Even just a remake of Curse of the Azure Bonds would be awesome. People have been asking Beamdog to do it for a while, though there's likely no chance of it.
