It was time to make one last big push to defeat these giants once and for all. When everyone nodded that they were ready, Valda and Bible hauled open the great big doors between the giants' dormitory and the hall itself. The great hall was packed with giants. This would not be easy - not at all. Their one advantage was that the young giants were a rowdy bunch, and the sounds of fighting, if any had been heard at all by the giants assembled in the great hall (it seemed that they had been arguing, and their voices boomed loud enough to mask most of the din of battle) had been ignored. Chief Nosnra was seated in the middle of a long table, where food was laid (in spite of the damage to the kitchen), He was an enormously fat giant, with long dangling jowls. He'd been stuffing his face with sausage, and it was smeared with grease. Beside him was one of his lieutenants, on his right, and an older giantess on his left. (His mother? Mother-in-law?) At the far end of the table was a Stone Giant - likely the "emissary" that they had heard of. At the near end of the table, with her back to them, was the Chieftess. The current favorite of his wives. Two young giants "played" around the big central fire. The further one was pulling on a ragged stuffed doll that was nearly the size of a man. She tugged on one end, while a grizzled old bear tugged on the other. Closer to them, a giant lad was sparring with an ogress, learning how to bash heads with his club. An older male giant servant tended the big fire, and further south were two hill giant guards, one of whom had been outfitted with a full suit of armor and a great heavy spear, presumably made by the Fire Giant smith before the group had killed him. It was a lot. But in the brief moment as the doors were opened, the only giant that really noticed them was the Stone Giant, who pushed back his chair and stood up. Then, all was chaos.
