So intently focused was Koldan on bringing down the Giantess that he noticed the rock only far too late. Though he tried to throw himself out of harm's way, the stone was still large enough and thrown with enough force to bludgeon half of Koldan's body, sprawling him to the ground with a cry of pain. Already he could feel the adrenaline racing through his veins to try and contain the damage, armor doing barely anything to brace against the impact.
It was all he could muster to keep his weapon safe at the expense of his limbs: he could only stagger weakly back to his feet, limping badly on one leg while trying to reload the bow. When he sought the Giantess once more to return the favor, Koldan scowled: his gifted sight could no longer mark her for him. The blow he had received had quite literally knocked the vision out of him, and the Ranger had half a mind to hunt and put her down until he noticed another, larger creature right next to him.
Eyes wide, Koldan snapped into action, switching his sight back on and locking it on The Bugbear as he let loose at point-blank range with a pair of sharpened quarrels.
