D&D 5E [IC] Escape from Castle Illvithar

Figuring rerouting the channel was impossible, Whisper rasped, "So as far as you went, the tunnel didn't end? Because we don't really have any other options, unless we want to start playing around with some of these puzzles."

"As far as I progressed it was clear, apart from the plant growth I don't trust the tunnel though." Naeris is still more interested in the contents of his quiver than the people around him.

Your keen dwarven senses detect that there is hollow non-water-filled stone below this level, but we're still talking about attempting to crash through 5-10 feet of solid rock.

Grabbing the chest Naeris heaves with all his might attempting to drag the chest back to his companions.
"I once heard stories of bottomless abyss of water back home using hollowed out rocks to breath in........ Perhaps we could do so with this"

Koregar spends a little time inspecting the stone, "There should be a cavern below us. I'm wonderin' if we could blast our way down somehow. If we can do that, the water'd drain down there. Assumin' it's not filled with water itself, or somewhere we want to be goin'." He looked walked back to the room and regarded the remaining chest. "The last chest exploded outward. I'm wonderin' if we could use that chest there to blast a hole in the ground. We carefully drag it to the water's edge, and angle it down, then somehow remotely set off the trap. Depending on the type o' magic it uses, it might work. If not, then the trap'd be done, and we could find out what's inside. It's a win win. As long as we can get it o'er there without settin' off the durned thing in the first place."

"Could, COULD bring the cavern round our heads shouldn't you knot these things? If your uncertain perhaps we should go with my plan nothing is going to blow up there. Besides im not even sure how we would move the chest without detonating it, on top of that well it froze our friend and poisoned "Crokus" so it may not even explode. If only some one didnt blow up the magical expert..." Naeris glances in Whispers direction at that last comment as he begins to flip the chest upside down and drag it to the waters edge.

"Froze," Whisper retorted, "but I imagine I could manage to blow someone else up, if I had the mind to do it." Through her rasp, it was difficult to determine if that was a joke or a threat. "I don't really like either of these options. The rocks around here are obviously unstable, so I don't know if I feel comfortable blowing anything up, plus we have no idea what trap might be on those chests. It could summon a demon or something. On the flip side, blinding ourselves in an upside down chest and going down a dark flooded tunnel barely seems any better."
