Artus grunted and his arm looked heavy and he stumbled, but he kept his feet.</p><p></p><p>Dragonbait swung his large sword in another overhead arc and he split the ghoul in front of him in two. As the creature fell in halves, he marched steadily forward. A ghoul behind the tent appeared to be considering climbing up to get at Miss Imogen, but Dragonbait interposed himself and the ghoul tried to scratch at him, but he easily evaded it. Another ghoul came at him, and he held that one at bay as well.</p><p></p><p>Then a second ghoul leapt on Artus Cimber, and it brought the traveller down.
