Harb, Qawasha, Weed, & Dellrak vs rest of the Ghouls Miss Imogen untied the tent's supports, but it had been improperly assembled. As hard as she leaned it toward her targets, it fell the other way instead. She crashed to the ground to the north and rolled to her feet, perturbed. Harb smashed the head of the entangled ghoul with his staff and kicked it once for good measure. The creature lay still, held up by the writhing vines. Harb withdrew, returning to the dock where he met with Dellrak, who put a hand on his shoulder along with a spell of protection. Two other ghouls that were within Qawasha's writhing vines, tore their way free and rushed toward the Chultan druid. Qawasha sighed, raised his walking stick, and it twisted into the shape of a significant cudgel. He stepped forward and allowed his companion, Kupalue to get away while he turned to face the ghouls with a gleam in his eye. For a moment, he seemed to be doing well. He side-stepped the first ghoul's claws and beat it across the face with his cudgel. But then it was two-on-one, and Qawasha was thrown to the ground with two ghouls above him. Weed fled to a safe spot between the dock and the large canoe, and he flung a stone that hit one of the ghouls trying to eat his friend, but the ghoul ignored it, intent on its meal. Chrysagon had backed off to stand next to Rodrigo, but the fast-footed man was already dancing away as a ghoul approached them. Rodrigo side-stepped the undead and smashed it in the knee. He was surprised to find how heavy the creature felt, and he just narrowly managed to dance three steps away as the creature reached its long claws for him. Only stumbling slightly on its damaged knee, it refused to fall. [gm]Whew. That was a lot of stuff to keep track of. NPCs are taking the brunt of this, damage-wise!
