[QUOTE="FitzTheRuke, post: 8439303, member: 59816"] Zagmira had always appeared to have very little on her in the way of belongings. However, she had a single shoulder-bag that was embroidered with intricate designs. Being a Wizard, it seemed very likely that in the least, she must have a spellbook inside. Myrral began a ritual to search her body for hidden magic. In the meantime, those outside rushed to join those inside. Qawasha and Orvex were made to wait while the yuan-ti worked to try to stabilize the crushing slab. They added debris from the plant-matter that had earlier been cleared, but that seemed to be unlikely to hold for long. Then, they sent a broodguard through. The first of the two yuan-ti guards squeezed its way through, but couldn't figure out how to get down, eventually dangling and then dropping into the twenty-foot pit. It landed reasonably well, but gouged itself on some of the iron spikes. The second broodguard bumped the ridge of its back on the stone slab, and the slab shifted, causing it to become stuck. It hissed and struggled to no avail. Yassah shapeshifted into a fifteen-foot long snake and slid under the slab, using his snake-form's powerful muscles in a coil, he lifted the slab just enough to free the broodguard, and slithered down the wall, landing safely in the pit. The injured broodguard climbed down as well, its claws scraping on the wall. There was not much room to get through now. Qawasha was inspired by the yuan-ti's snake-form, and he used his druidic magic to turn into a small ape. He safely climbed under the slab and waited on the other side for Orvex, who's skinny old scribe's body slid under the slab safely. Qawasha held out an ape-paw to help the (surprisingly kind) Thayan down, but as the man turned around to begin his decent, the slab shifted once more. In his surprise (and desire to not be crushed) Orvex pushed himself backward away from the shifting slab, and he lost his grip on the wall. Qawasha tried to grab him, but it was no use - the old scribe fell hard, impaling himself on the iron spikes below. The yuan-ti moved along as if the loss were nothing to them, but Qawasha climbed down with his long ape-arms, and he put one hand over his eyes and shook his shaggy head in shame and sorrow.
