"Well, it seems like these Children be causin' many a problem to ye good people here...

Or at least, someone wants it to appear that way and is causin' trouble coincidin' with tha Children's visits.

If these Children be gettin framed, than it doesn't help their case that they bein' so secretive.

While I be no lawman, I have been involved in an investigation or two in me day, and one of the only weapons the falsely accused has is honesty and openness."

"If there is going to be trouble here I will most certainly stay and aid your people, all i ask is that you provide me food and lodging. Your money would be better spent elsewhere."

Shade stared deep into the man's eyes. What is this guy involved in?

He slowly withdrew the blades and picked up the bag with the ledgers and things in it. "I'll be taking this. You have two days to come up with as much coin as you can. I'll contact you and you can give the money to me. Until that time, do not try to contact me or any of the others. I want you to go about as if everything is ok. Draw no undue attention."

If I play my cards right, I can get him to hand me a nice score. Assuming his real "friends" don't come collecting, this should work.

He slowly withdrew the blades and sheathed them. "Remember old man. You are living on barrowed time. Don't disappoint me."

"Do you have the money for the room?"

YES:

"Then pay the man his due."

NO:

"How much?" He dropped a few coins on the bed. Enough to cover the debt. "I'll expect to see that repaid."

Either Way:

"I'll be watching you. Don't try to run. You'll never make it out of town." With that, he slipped out the door and back out into the street. He began making his way back to his room. A little time studying this ledger may be a bit more enlightening. There has to be a way I can turn a profit from this information. He offered a small prayer of thanks to Mask. His dark master had surely blessed him today.

OOC: Any downtime he spends going over the ledger and learning what he can about Vaclav. Gather Information?

Killian looks at the unnamed woman's haggard appearance, looking like a beat-up ragamuffin, and exclaims, "Ye gods, woman!
Ye look like ye've been thru hell -
ye are ginna be part of the protecTORS?

To Killian: "My name is Marina. I will be joining you."

looking at the table, he sees a fine collection of warriors. So- when are the children coming in? I am eager to get some trainign and exercise in...

Is this all of us? or are there gonna be more...

Thinking that He is more adept than any of these fighters, the less the better- any more will just get in his way...

After all- these are just circus performers that he is escorting ina nd out of town- how much trouble can they be?
