Just thought I'd chime in here -
to any players still reading this, I have been waiting for Akunin to address the group as a whole.

I emailed him, and he gave me a reply about his feelings about the adventure, and why he stopped it.

If anyone wants, I can post it here...

I offer, because I believe all players deserve a sense of closure in a roleplaying effort.

First, I would like to thank him for volunteering to DM the game- or what semblance of a game it was.

But personally, I thought that people were too interested in their back story and gettign info and stuff- rather than playing his game. Hell- it took us about a month befor eth first person (killian i think) sat down at the tables in teh church. and then another month just waituing around while everyone just doodled and waaited for the rest to finally role play their way into the table.

but all that aside, I think he should have voiced his concerns and how he wanted the game to progress rather than just disappear on us. I knwo it is hard work and stuff, but he chose to accept teh role as DM, and i know that somethign was popped onto him later, but that was no reason to disappear- and not post again. he should hav said sometihng- or at least apologise for not being abelt o do it any longer.

thanks Akunin- for a beginning of a game...i had fun while it lasted

If you guys want to start a new game- i volunteer to DM. You can even keep your old characters... since nothing really happened yet.

here is what I am talking about.

it will be a different story though- as I do not have a clue where Akunin was going with his story...

Did any of you think to E-mail him? Remember people were having board issues.

And there's always other issues, involving a alignment thread isn't there....

The main problem was not being able to access the boards regularly - The only time I found for posting updates was at work on my lunch hour, and that was always the busiest time on these boards.

There were other more individual aspects of running the game that proved to be frustrating, as well - at times it felt as if I was dragging characters through the adventure, at times it felt as though players didn't want to participate in the main adventure, but rather explore their own individual goals, and it's maddening to write several paragraphs of game information to get a single sentence (or a single word) reply.

I apologize for not being able to continue running the game, and for not coming back and posting to this thread earlier, but in truth, the problems in accessing the boards have caused me to spend less time here now that I *can* read them, and instead am spending more of my time on boards such as Nutkinland.

Thanks Akunin, I finally have some closure. :)

I agree that it was dragging on and on- and that people were busy with their own story and stuff- and sorry for not recognising how frustrating it was for you...

Me too- i find that the only free time i have is at work (funny aint it) and when i get home- I am flogged with little things i need to get done...
