Shaking as she has never done before, Jeni shot her bow, her aim being affected by an unnatural fear. She then followed Carad's lead and moved to the stairs after she let her arrow fly, remaining in the protective walls of the staircase for the moment.

Not again! Morgan thought as the massive blue creature flew around the castle. Grabbing one of her javelins, she made ready to throw it before fear gripped her. Turning tail, she fled down the stairs for cover.

OOC: Move: Trying for cover of some sort.
Will Save = [roll0]

Carad took a deep breath and calmed his breathing as he managed to dispel much of the dread in his heart. In the relative calmness that came over him, he allowed his fey nature to take greater hold as he sought to to hide from the dragon in the corner that he's in. When the dragon least expected it, he stepped out and fired another arrow at it, hoping against hope that it would fly true, before diving for whatever cover there was.

OOC: Carad uses Cunning Action to try to hide, if there's any available hiding spot, before firing at the dragon again, hoping to get a sneak attack.
Stealth: [roll0] If hiding feasible
Attack: [roll1]
Attack w adv: [roll2] If hiding is feasible and successful
Damage: [roll3]
Sneak Attack: [roll4] If hiding is feasible and successful

Morgan and Carad seek cover against the castle walls. Jeni fires a shot at the dragon, but her will wavers at the last instant and the shot goes wide. Hunter tries the same with a javelin, but is likewise unsuccessful. The dragon circles around for another pass, but still maintains his distance and is content to let waves of terror roll over the defenders.

OOC: Initiative -
Jeni - 23
Carad - 21
Morgan - 17
Hunter - 16
Dragon - 10
Venn - 10

Dragon - 3
Hunter's Will Save [roll0]

Hunter is no longer frightened.
Venn, Jeni, and Morgan are frightened and may save at the end of their turns.

Everyone is up.

Venn hunches over, grasping his staff with a grip of unknown strength. Yet despite this, he knows this terrible creature must die. Just like spoken in the ancient texts and scrolls. The arcs of blue begin to boil from within as he prepares to fire a shot. When the dragon finally appears clearly in the sky he lets out a shaky blast, hoping to atleast send the beast away.

As the bolt lances towards the dragon he tries to free his mind from the terror. [roll3]

Gathering her courage, Morgan attempted to find a spot from which she could launch a javelin. Taking a bead, she threw the weapon with great strength. The javelin struck a particularly sensitive spot where the wing met the body, causing the creature to focus on its injury. "Carad," Morgan yelled frightfully, "take the advantage!"

OOC: Move - Preferably into position to attack and back into cover. If not, I guess she stays in the open.
Action - Attack w/Disadvantage: [roll0], [roll1], Damage [roll2]

OOC: With what I am hoping is an unlikely hit, I'm going to expend a Superiority Die to add Distracting Attack for an additional [roll0] damage. This also provides the next attack with advantage. I am hoping Carad will take that attack as he would likely gain the most benefit.

Trying to control her wavering arms, Jeni takes a step out of the protective walls of the staircase, aims an arrow at the dragon, and goes back in.

OOC: attack [roll0]
attack w. disadvantage [roll1]
damage [roll2]

Note: Jeni would have acted before the others in the party, so she's not the one that should benefit from Morgan's advantage.

Will save [roll3]

Seeing his last few shots go wide, Carad knew he had to make his shots count. Moving as far away as he could from everyone else in case he drew the dragon's attention, he stood up and concentrated, looking for an opening.

It came, somewhat unexpectedly. Morgan's wildly thrown javelin somehow connected. Carad seized the opportunity and fired, aiming for the same spot where the dragon's formidable armor had been compromised.

OOC: Attack: [roll0]
Attack w adv: [roll1]
Damage: [roll2]
Sneak Att: [roll3]

Carad can't take Cunning Action to hide or even to move to cover as he took the Ready action during his turn, and used his Reaction at Morgan's turn to fire. Please please please don't breath on him... :)
