[QUOTE="JustinCase, post: 7417620, member: 6776182"] A quiet groan escapes the mouth of the prone body of Thadius as Chief Krig proudly and harshly steps down on the tiefling noble with one foot. In accented but otherwise flawless Common, the goblin leader declares, [B]"Cross me and die like this devil man!"[/B] Before the selfstyled king can continue taunting you, James' crossbow bolt flies through the air straight towards Krig. As if the creature has supernatural speed, it ducks out of the way and the dart hits the goblin right behind it in the eye and then moves out of the back of its skull; the goblin falls dead on the spot. Wide-eyed, Krig looks at the half-elf and screams at its remaining servants. One does not need to understand the Goblin tongue to realize it orders the death of the rogue. The other goblin moves towards James but is intercepted by Gorir. The dwarf's first swing of his hammer misses, but the creature arrogantly moves forward, hoping to slip by the cleric, when the weapon swings backwards and hits it in the ribs. The air escapes its lungs and it takes a moment before it swings its scimitar, then takes a step back and cautiously await the dangerous dwarf's next move. From the corner of his eyes, Gorir sees Chief Krig move quietly to his other side, trying to remain unnoticed while looking to flank him. This distractions costs him dearly, however, as the goblin in front of him hits his side, just between his armor, and for a moment his vision fails him. Magdalena has engaged the last goblin, and her dagger misses but the torch doesn't. The creature hisses, more in surprise than in actual pain, and it looks sideways at its chief, then towards the open door behind his opponent. It takes a half-hearted stab at the paladin, which she easily slaps aside with the torch, then takes a step to the side to stay out of her way while getting in position to run out the door. [ooc]Goblin #2 is killed by James; I know he took a shot at the boss but goblin bosses have Redirect Attack, and Krig used that to get one of his subjects killed instead of taking damage himself. A fair metaphor for some managers, I guess. :) After using his reaction to Redirect Attack, Chief Krig moves to flank Gorir with goblin #3 and gives its subject advantage on its attack. Gorir hits goblin #3, who counterattacks (with advantage), then disengages and moves a few feet away. [roll0] [roll1] (crit!) [roll2] so [b]8[/b] total damage Magdelana hits goblin #4, who counterattacks, disengages and moves a few feet to the side. [roll3] (miss) [roll4] Next round! Hopefully Thadius makes his death saving throw or someone can help him out!
