Legend
Aric bear reacts quickly to the snarl of the third cat. He charges and bites it, but the beast avoids his bear form's sharp claws. He stays put, hoping that the animal will try to move, so he may opportunistically strike it.

OOC:
Action multi attack:
Bite attack: 15, piercing damage: 7
Claw attack: 11, slashing damage: 15

Bonus action: none
GM: Aric already went this round. So that doesn't happen.

But once the initiative circles back to you, if the cat is still a threat, you can keep those rolls.

See the initiative I just posted before this.

Alma hardly has time to react as the cats descend upon them. In a flurry of movement that's hard to follow between the dark and the storm, the others fight off two of the crag cats. She doesn't notice the third, however, until she looks back towards Garrett and sees the predator, fresh into the fight, heading for their charge.

The first thought in her mind is, I need to get this creature away from him.

She rushes up, as close to Garrett and the others as her tether will allow. Her eyes roll back, red veins creeping up the white sclera. Her lips move with unnatural speed as the whispers of a hundred different voices echo out and envelope the cat's senses.

[That's a DC 13 Wisdom Save. On a Success, it takes half this damage. On a failure, it takes the full psychic damage and immediately use its reaction to move as far away from me as possible.]

For a moment, the crag cat's muscles twitch, its gaze seemingly fixed on Garret as if it were becoming incrementally motionless. Then a thin layer of air ripples around its bristling white fur. Black veins play upon the whites of its eye, and then Alma hears the whispers of hundreds of voices right against her ear, demanding and pulling her in a hundred directions at once. These crag cats are no mere beasts!

GM: crag cat DC 13 Wisdom save Spell Turning: 2D20.HIGH(1)+2 = [19, 18]+2 = 21 succeeds

The Dissonant Whispers rebounds and instead targets Alma! Roll a DC 13 Wisdom save against your own spell!

Alma flinches as the arcane energy bounces back. The voices threaten to overwhelm her. Ones she recognizes, ones she's forgotten. She claps her hands over her ears, hunching into herself and gritting her teeth. Her brain goes fuzzy for a moment. Disorients. Shakes her very sense of self.

But then she takes a deep breath. Steels herself. This isn't the first time she's experienced something like this. She feels the crunch of snow under her boots. Forces herself to feel the sting of cold air. Listens to the low growls of Aric in his bear form. Her ears still ring from the pain, but she's grounded again. She's here, on the mountain top.

Alma shakes it off and gasps out, to anyone who can hear her, ''They can deflect spells! Use physical force!" She bends down to grab Garrett, trying to pull him out of the path of the cat before it can get any closer. "I need assistance!"

Wisdom Save: 1D20+1 = [20]+1 = 21

Logrim smiles as Garrett's wounds begin to close under his salve. He is about to help the man up when the large cats materialize out of the snow and attack the party. He stands grabbing his wrench but relaxes when the others react more quickly, killing the two predators. Logrim is about to turn back to the injured man when the third cats appears. The gnome raises his wrench and steps in to attack the creature. As he moves he makes a hand gesture to Ludo.

Seeing the gesture Ludo moves towards the creature. The attacks are coordinated, Logrim swinging with his wrench to distract the cat as Ludo claws at the beasts flank. Both attacks land, Logrim's glancing off the crag cat's shoulder, creating an opening for Ludo's claws to find the creatures side. Ludo then let's out whirring clanking sound that can only be described as a roar. The sound draws the cat's attention towards Ludo and away from Logrim and Garrett.

OOC: Move: Logrim will move up to the crag cat.
Action: Logrim's attack against the Crag Cat.: 1d20+3 20 1d6+1 2
Bonus: Command Steel Defender to attack.

Ludo:
Move: Moves up to the crag cat.
Action: Ludo's attack on Cat: 1d20+5 24 1d8+2 6
Reaction: Deflect Attack: As a reaction, the steel defender imposes disadvantage on the attack roll of one creature it can see that is within 5 ft of it, provided the attack roll is against a creature other than the defender.

Rebuffed by your wrench to its nose and Ludo's claw along its flank, the crag cat drops even lower, hissing and taking several steps back before turning tail and running away down the steep slope, hopping between rocks.

GM: The last crag cat (AC 13, hp 26) is attempting to flee. Remember my house rules that limit who gets opportunity attacks. If anyone wants to shoot it at range, it is 80 feet away down the slope – you'd have one round of shooting before it gains total cover. Or let it go, up to you.

Legend
Russet analyses the situation - There were 3 of Garret's party and 3 cats. One of them at least seemed magical - Why did the cat that is running away make a beeline for Garret despite much stronger threats - hunting instinct or something else? Was there aggression in its face, or some other emotion? Did it look like the cat recognised Garret?

Judging from the wariness and skittishness of the crag cat, you can guess it was cautious about approaching Garret even before you showed up on the scene. Perhaps it was lying in wait for a while, waiting for a clear or safe path to Garret, deterred by some other predator like the yeti. Perhaps there was a territorial dispute between this cat and the others, which might explain why it was slinking in while other two attacked. It's moving a bit more languidly now that it's out of melee, so perhaps it was tracking Garret for a while across the mountain, and he managed to stay one step ahead of it until now.

Neurotic

I plan on living forever. Or die trying.
Not really interested in killing the beast, but unwilling to leave an enemy behind, Lumrolur is torn for a moment. Then his face slackens, wounded eye glows slightly and Vor reloads a weapon and shoots down the mountain. Small bolt jumps away and down, almost tracking the beast before slamming into the running cat from behind.

"Hate leaving things unfinished!" he growls as the cat bounds away despite the hit.

OOC: describing it as getting away because hp 26 - 8 from Logrim and Ludo (L&L? double-L? L-squared?) and - whatever Vor did (4 or 12) still isn't killing it.
