KETHRA/LYLLIE/AANZU/HARFIK/YTTRIAN Kethra finds a place under the shadows to dispose of the bodies. The terrain is still quite soft, and it wouldn't be too hard to dig shallow graves to answer for such unexpected needs. The servants make themselves busy all around, leaving almost no time in between the choirs they have to run. A larger encampment is soon organized and Atir is helped by the others to his feet. The merchant's belongings are gathered only after a close inspection by Prosper, fixated on the idea that something else might be hidden amidst the remaining cargo boxes that were brought. He comes towards the heroes soon enough, triumphant and concerned at the same time. At their feet, he lays a heavy bundle, which he unties by the use of his dagger. As the drabs unfold, the group sees a series of rods of strange confection, constituted of white metallic shafts and with vitreous fist-sized gems placed at the top of them. At the center, an odd portrait, framed in the same white metal, holds a black, opaque canvas, no images inside it. "I have no idea what this is..." - he moves his dissatisfied mouth under his thick mustache - "...but I suspect the Duke wouldn't like it in their hands." - he waits for any clue that the heroes might present. "So, anyone?" - he points at the things. Surely, if there are other mercenaries, they'll come. If not for their companions, certainly for the artifacts. As they study their next moves, the heroes hear a faint, distant sound, almost like a small hive moving around. The feeling is somehow disturbing, as if someone - or something - was observing them, just right beyond the limits of their view. ICOSA/THULWAR The sound of hooves become more and more distant as the duo debates Thulwar's arrival. The waves that bothered Icosa a moment ago are gone, probably because of his position. Still, both of them can't shake of the feeling that they're being observed. It came over them all of a sudden, almost as if someone hidden in the trees tried to study their manners and calculate their movements. Except... Looking around, there was no one. And this seemed quite clear to them. At least, up to this point. @Charwoman Gene @industrygothica @JustinCase @hafrogman @Shayuri @Greenmtn @Neurotic
