EVERYONE The noise grows as the pavement shakes under the pressure of heavy metallic steps. The humanoid machines are on the move, their lights still bathing the elevator as they approach! Tink leaps forward, claw-like arms expecting the battle to come. The others resisted the sudden flash, and ready themselves as well. Yttrian goes to the back, entering a shooting stance as he marks the potential area of approach; Lyllie stands by his side, preparing gods-know-what spells to unleash upon the cursed machines; the miners pull the child to the other side of the elevator, as Embla leaps forward, profiting from Tink's cover as she prepares to a brutal sword fight. Harfik overhears everything. His hearing seems to grow more intense as his vision is taken for a few seconds. With the eye of his mind, the monk sees the machines moving forward, and underneath their infernal noise he keeps listening to a second set of sounds, humming and approaching from below the pavement.... But before he can warn anyone, the giant machines attack! Barely visible, they give the impression of being giant mechanical golems, their arms assuming strange shapes as they approach. The first one jumps towards the elevator, charging towards its side. The entity does not attack the heroes immediately, going for the carcass of the elevator instead! A beam of light - as brilliant and red as a scorching ray - comes from the creature's arm and begins to cut the safety locks of the elevator! the second one does the very same thing, intensifying the effort! As the piece begins to suffer from the effort, the elevator shudders and moans, as if taken out of its tracks. [I] [The creatures are clearly trying to bring the elevator down. The platform is cylinder-shaped, having fifteen feet of total height. If anyone wants more details on the nature of the materials and points of support for the elevator, just give me a perception or investigation test (DC15).
