ICE's Christmas sale on HARP --Extended!!!!

Your welcome Eric! Teflon Billy has been swearing by HARP recently, so that kinda makes me think that I did a pretty ok job with it. If you are interested, I have the adventure that I ran for the October Game day (including the PCs), that I could supply for folks wanting to run a one shot to try it out.

I think that I should rewrite the adventure though, to make it easier for GMs new to HARP to understand what is going on and how to handle certain things before releasing it though - make it into a sort of tutorial on running HARP. Then just give that away for free. --sigh-- Something else added to my list of things to do. :D

Just wanted to say that I am not much of a PDF-buyer, but when I saw that my FLGS was getting in a copy of the HARP monster book, I told him I'd take it and had him order a copy of the core rules as well. He went one further and ordered Martial Law as well (which I picked up). Now I need only the spell book. I haven't had a chance to read it all, but my first impression of all three books that I have seen is very favorable.

Picked it up.

The PDF would have been nice if it had been bookmarked, though at $2 I found it quite fair to add them myself.

My knowledge of RPGs outside of D&D is limited, but I enjoyed reading it a bit.

Glad to hear that!! You ought to talk with Teflon Billy. He is a big fan of HARP, and has apparently become even more so since HARP won a Silver Ennie last year.

While I am fully aware that HARP may not be to everybody's tastes, I do think that it is a very good game (despite the fact that I wrote it - heheh), and that it is worth trying. I also think that HARP is one of those games that you really have to actually try in order to see the best parts of it.

Cannot remember if it was ni this thread or another one, but I am planning on rewriting the adventure I used for the October Game Day in DC and releasing it, along with the PCs that were done up for it as a free download so that it is easier to get folks to try HARP out. (I think it is easier if they have a one-shot that is already to go, including PCs to choose from as that reduces the learning curve and allows for getting into play much faster).

:D

How has it been working so far? Has ICE been pleased with the results of the sale?

Will we see future sales on things for say RMSS or Spacemaster?
