Icons. Played it? Read it? Tried a different die?

Hey gang!

A short few days ago I recall reading about a new Superhero game system that was toted as being "M&M-lite" and using 2d6 as the resolution mechanic. Does anyone recall hearing about it? It would have been in the past week or so.

<edit> Thanks to Doug, I now know it's called Icons. Has anyone tried it yet? Tinkered with it? Tried d10s instead of d6s?

No, but I've experimented with FATE a bit, in other forms.

You'd really have to tinker *a lot* to successfully use 2d10. The thing is, the system is d6-d6, not d6+d6 as most 2d6 systems would be. So, it goes from -5 to +5.

Standard issue FATE (well, older school FATE...) used 4dF (four Fudge dice) and that yielded -4 to +4. d6-d6 is generally deemed close enough to not matter a great deal.

-9 to +9, however...
