idea: "looking for group" tag

I don't know how feasible this is, but you know how under your avatar you have info like Location, Date Joined, all that stuff. Maybe there could be something in your profile that you toggle on/off to say that you are looking for a gaming group. If you combined that with the Location field, and maybe a state/province drop-down for the US/Canada, you might be able to then filter and search/sort for people in your own state who were looking for groups. Perhaps there could also be a text field (like the interests/hobbies field) where you describe briefly exactly what you are looking for (need a DM, need players, game system, contact info, etc.).

Just a thought.

This is intriguing. I'm not sure how easy it is to add fields, but I love the idea.

What I would probably do is let people create a "profile" for their Gaming Information - looking for a group, looking for a local gaming store - heck, even owns a local gaming store. THey can fill out these fields, people could do searches, etc. It'd almost be like a seperate 'system' on the site, with searches and everything..

Of course, I could also just make a tag, but that's not nearly as fun
