Ideas for a single player game?

Wippit Guud

First Post
Given the lack of face-to-face games we're in, I've decided to run a 1 player game with my wife, buut I've discovered that coming up with scenarios for low-level adventures is not easy. Anyone got any ideas for some scenarios?

Character is currently a level 2 elven druid.

The two I've done so far:

"Final Exam" - find a rare plant/animal and bring it to the teacher's grove. She had to beat a couple of obstacles, and get around a group of 4 goblins.

"Lost Child" - free a fawn trapped in a bear trap (which turned out to be harder than she thought) and return it to it's mother. Turned out mom died, and she had to find a different nursing doe, and convince her to take the child (and defeat the goblin who set the trap) (and thanks to Cor for ideas in that one).

But now... I'm drawing a blank.

Make it revolve around a personal story about her. With a big group you can't focus on single characters as much (since you risk ending up with other players kind of on the sidelines for stretches of time), so take advantage of it now that you can. Have her work with you on an extensive back story and then use that to build a story from.

What's her relationship to the teacher's grove? Does she have any friendly or not-so-friendly rivals within the druidic sect? How about treachery and betrayal within the sect -- a web of intrigue within which she gets caught?

Good ideas kenjib. Maybe someone decides to start assassinating druids and sets her up to take the fall. Then she has to escape the druid's wrath, discover who the real villain is, and prove her innocence.

Nothing like pooping in someone's happy place to shake things up. :)

A single player elfin character? This would be a great chance to show the difference in the concept of time that elves have vs. humans. The adventures for a single elf could take decades vs. days. Perhaps the elvs are having difficulties with the encroaching human settlements. The player could be on the forefront of the interactions. Perhaps she befriends a family of humans despite what her elders think....but years pass between encounters with this family....so the young, strong human ranger she once knew is now a wizened old man who comes to her with a small bundle in his arms. With his dying breath he asks her to take care of his infant granddaughter.......as the years pass she slowly guides the young girl into her womanhood....

Who is this young girl?
And why do strange things happen around her?
And who are those Grey Robed men who are looking for her?
