Ideas for ghost killers

Im gonna try making a new campain where there are only holy classes allowed. And they will be hunting down spirits and ghosts. Kinda like ghost walk but it will take in more land than one town. I was wondering if you have any suggestion for the campain or other holy classes. I'm thinking of Cleric, Paladin, Favored Soul, Spirit Shaman, and Pr.- Master of Radiance, Death Warden, and Ghost Slayer, Sacred Exorcist, Divine Crusader. Some classes are good and holy but not really designed for the path the pc's need for this adventure.

Monks, Fighter and any other primary melee class would all be useful- there's always a use for muscle.

Shaman (Oriental Adventures + Dragon #317 3.5 update), Sorcerers, Wizards, etc. all have a role as well.

If they must be "holy," you could use the BoED and make Sacred Vow a campaign-wide bonus feat, opening up the whole Exalted feat chain.

You could also take paladins and clerics and reflavor some of their special abilities to fit their particular god or saint, or sect of the church. So there are a few different choices among them for the players, and you can set up some rivalries for fun roleplaying.

I second the suggestion to allow fighters and/or monks. Simply require them to devote themselves to a set of religious tenets and make a commitment to a given church/god/sect as above.

You might want to check out Green Ronin's Book of the Righteous as well- considered a "must buy" by many. Its main strength is that it lets you design priests and holy warriors for all kinds of faiths.

Its a 3Ed book, but updating it to 3.5 wouldn't be much of a challenge...and from what I understand, its available in 3.5 form as a pdf (but not hardcover).

The Holy Warrior in it, for example, is based on the 3Ed Paladin...and the rules can even be used to recreate that class. To update it, see how the class evolved from 3Ed to 3.5, and make the appropriate changes to the Holy Warrior template.

As for monks in particular, check out my sig for a 3.5 database covering (nearly) all things Monk-ey.
