Identity Crisis #7 TIME to be Spoiled!!!!!

I remember that, when Hippolyta went down against Imperiex in "Our Worlds at War". I'm glad she died as a hero, but it seemed like such a waste. Still, I thought the scene with Wildcat, Flash, and GL of the JSA reminiscing about her was rather touching. It hit home the family element of the group.

Thanks for remembering that...damn Wildcat too...mercy. *sniff, sniff*

Um, sometime in the late 80s I think. She and Doctor Midnight (not Mid-Nite) were both killed by Eclipso.

Man. It sucks to be a female hero in the DC universe. You might get killed (Hippolyta, Wildcat, Midnight, Donna Troy, Sue Dibny), maimed (Batgirl), turned evil (Raven, Amethyst, Jean Loring), erased from existance (Supergirl, Batwoman, Earth-2 Wonder Woman and Huntress), killed and resurrected with someone else's soul (Hawkgirl), infected with HIV (Mia Dearden), have your backstory screwed up beyond repair (Power Girl), broken into little pieces and stuffed into a refrigerator for shock value...

For what it's worth, Kyle Rayner's girlfriend Alex wasn't "broken into little pieces", just stuffed in the fridge (sayd artist Darryl Banks). By not showing the entire scene, the artist let the readers' imaginations run wild with the most horrible scenarios, though.

Legion of Super-Heroes in a past reboot, which admittedly is out of continuity. Even so, she's been portrayed as rather sinister in the mainstream DC universe (I think in JSA), though nout outright evil. Even so, her character's been screwed over pretty badly, having been totally removed from her real-world personality as Amy Winston (nice way to alienate the target audience, DC :p) and bound to Gemworld.
